Vent conducted first Total Knee Arthroplasty surgery in Orlando. Dr. Dean Cole had the following to say about Vent Hermes Knee:

Preop planning with a Vent digital twin improves my understanding of the patient’s specific characteristics, offering an individualized plan that improves efficiency, restoration of pre disease kinematics and better outcomes. The plan includes much more than sizing and matching femoral sagittal plane condylar radius. Beginning with joint alignment based on femoral and tibia density profiles brings us back to patient specific parameters before arthritic changes. The use of remaining normal cartilage patches restores femoral position. Mapping key ligament position and lengths after virtual osteophyte removal fine tunes a preop plan. Entering the OR with an eye-catching detailed plan captures the attention of the operative team improving their understanding and coordinating their pursuit of excellence. Patient confidence further evolves from the depth of the visual displays instilling confidence in their knee restorative experience. The digital twin brings preop planning to an unprecedented level of patient specific insight.

Vent conducted first ACL revision surgery in Switzerland. Dr. Oliver Kessler had the following to say about Vent Hermes Knee:

The first ACL revision surgery was planned and completed using Vent Hermes Knee Planner by Dr. Oliver Kessler in Zurich, Switzerland. This is a milestone for Vent to show where we can add value in the sports medicine applications of our software for knee surgeries. We hope to publish our work on digital twin simulations and patient outcomes soon. Dr. Kessler had the following to say about his Vent experience:

“Based on CT scans analyzed by Vent Technology, it suggested to me an exact planning of the correct insertion of the femoral and tibial drill canals. This was predicted from the 3-dimensional digital-twin even inside the bones which was never possible before. In addition, important relevant mechanical aspects were considered which was impossible before. Therefore, I adopted my preoperative planning done on the conventional CT scan. The outcome was fantastic. No pain killers for the Patient on the 2nd p.o. day and Flexion angle of 90°. I conclude that the technology of Vent will be a mandatory tooling plan soon not only for ACL reconstruction”.
